Sumana Trust and AMEND organized R & R program to Kasaragali for families to learn more about their loved ones feelings/concerns and more. Also to break the boredom from daily routine for caregivers and loved ones.

Sessions were conducted for both caregivers and loved ones separately with common topic – “What do you want your parents / loved ones to do” (Which they are failing to do presently) and “What your parents / loved ones should not do” (which they are doing and is not acceptable to you)”

With deep sorrow, we mourn the passing of Sri Deveraje Gowda  one of the founder trustee of SUMANA Trust on 28thAugust  ,2024. He leaves behind a legacy of dedication, integrity and service. He was founding secretary of AMEND and  an inspiration to all the office bearers of AMEND as he was actively involved in all activities of AMEND continuously for more than three decades .

DG Sir was a role model long before MH professionals even envisioned AHC. AMEND members could reach out to him at any time of the day and he would personally visit their homes to offer his support.  His generosity knew no bounds. He used to conduct free yoga classes . He would always advocate for mindful and purposeful action in all activities of AMEND.

We at Sumana Trust, deeply value the incredible work he has done. We are committed to carrying forward his mission and upholding the values he stood for.

With heartful condolences,
Founding trustees of Sumana Trust
